Impact of lockdown measures on the income of Bulgarians: 38% say income not impacted: Afis research

Some 38% of Bulgarians said their income had not been affected by the lockdown measures, compared to 31% whose income has dropped by at least 50%, according to a research by Afis. The survey, which was conducted in two waves since the lock down was imposed in Bulgaria (first wave in March and second wave in May), compared the expected and actual impact that the lockdown measures have among Bulgarians.

The findings also show a significant difference between the capital and the rest of the country. Those who lost a large share of their income in Sofia are far less (15%) than in the countryside. Nearly half of respondents experience a "slight", and those who have increased their income are 6%, which is twice the average.
